About the Author

Jonathan G. Shaw is an established and well-known creative industries’ analyst and consultant under his company Ibilion, while also working as a successful music producer and sound engineer in Johannesburg, South Africa. Shaw has conducted several major research projects for the South African and Botswanan governments on the music and creative industries as well as lecturing music business studies since 2003, notably at the University of the Witwatersrand and abroad. Mr Shaw holds the degree of Master of Arts in Arts and Culture Management (Wits).
