[JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA] — Samurai Cyclops has issued a formal decree to the music industry. Moving away from the traditional single-release ethic, Mashinini is rolling out a series of high-impact tracks that serve as individual pillars for his definitive EP, The Imperial Way.

Breaking through the noise with the sharp focus of a master craftsman, artist Tshidiso Mashinini, performing under the moniker Samurai Cyclops, officially announces the release of his high-octane debut single, “Hot Damn.”

The name Samurai Cyclops serves as a dual tribute to discipline and raw power. Drawing from Greek mythology, the Cyclops were the primordial craftsmen who forged the thunderbolts of Zeus—symbols of immense power created through singular focus. Mashinini adopts this “one-eyed” perspective to represent a total immersion in his art, filtered through the lethal precision of a Samurai.

The single, “Hot Damn,” is a true collaboration of vision. Mashinini acted as the primary architect, creating the original beats and rhythmic foundation before handing them to veteran producer and music business consultant Jonathan G. Shaw for final polishing and arrangement. The result is a track that retains its raw, authentic pulse while benefiting from world-class production standards.
“The music is about cut-through energy,” says Mashinini. “With ‘Hot Damn,’ the goal was to create something that hits immediately—no hesitation, just pure groove and intent. It’s about that singular focus on the craft.”

“The Imperial Way isn’t just a collection of songs; it’s a decree,” says Mashinini. “We aren’t asking for space in the industry; we are commanding it. Every track is a calculated move.”

Following the initial impact of “Hot Damn,” the rollout continues with the defiant groove of “Can’t Funk With Us” / “All My Soldiers”, added to rumble in the jungle “Mr Fantasmic”, the atmospheric weight of “Desperate Times”, the captivating sounds of “All or Nothing”, and lastly the complete echoed synopsis of “What are you fighting for”. Together, these releases form a body of work that reflects the artist’s disciplined storytelling and the polished, multi-instrumental production synonymous with Ibilion and Shaw Music Studios. The Disciples of Truth (DOT) Chronicles collection follows the untold stories of Samurai Cyclops, one of the former DOT group members.

“Hot Damn” and the first movements of The Imperial Way will be available on all major streaming platforms by the end of February 2026.
